The Scientific Academy for Service Technology e.V. (ServTech) is a non-profit association of leading experts from industry and academia devoted to support innovation and progress in Service-Oriented Computing (SOC).

 

The purpose of the society is the promotion of science, research, development, application and qualification in the area of software system integration and service-oriented software engineering. The society's activities include:

 

• application oriented scientific research,
• development, planning and staging of scientific events like conferences and workshops,
• on-demand vocational education and training in software service engineering, and 
• consulting.

 

ServTech is the organization behind the flagship event on service oriented computing, the International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing (ICSOC). For the first time in 2009 and henceforth each year ICSOC is held in Europe, it will join forces with the European ServiceWave conference and be announced as ICSOC - ServiceWave Conference.
